Story

Humble beginnings

Tripitaka was born from a shared belief that food should be both delicious and deeply nourishing. What began as kitchen experiments by a fitness coach, nutritionist, and brewer soon evolved into a passion-driven movement to bring gut friendly foods to India.

Our founders combined their unique expertise — strength training, nutritional science, and the craft of fermentation — to create products that heal from within. Every fermented food, date sweetened jam, and preservative-free spread tells the story of mindful innovation rooted in tradition.

We started small, bottling our first batch of kombucha and sharing it with friends. Their response was more than just appreciation; it was a realisation that there was a growing need for sustainable food in India that’s authentic, flavourful, and made with integrity.

As Tripitaka’s flavour designer and head of R&D, Deepika blends her background as a fitness coach and nutritionist to create products that are both delicious and nutritionally balanced. She leads new product development, oversees operations, and ensures every batch meets Tripitaka’s promise of gut friendly, no preservative foods. From experimenting with unique ferments to perfecting flavour profiles, she’s the creative force behind every Tripitaka jar.
